Scary Valentine is a meeting of the highly accomplished synth-programming of Scot Gordon and the ethereal droning vocals of Shari Valenta. The music is like Covenant meets Doubting Thomas and Black Lung ie. lots of splattering crunchy overdriven noises and beats which is certainly enough to keep me happy.
One thing that I think would enhance the songs greatly would be sparser vocals to give the music some more room to breathe and shine through. This would also frame and showcase the vocals in an even more effective manner. Though I know it's hard to hold back on ideas - it's something I'm really only accomplishing in my own music. My personal favourite track is "Ophelia". 10 tracks over 45 minutes.
