::: Junkbeats ::: "union"

blue line

electronica drum & bass

Formerly known as 'Mista Spalding', Junkbeats is the brainchild of Mr. David Greentree-Brammah. The music is somewhere between that of Underworld, Moby and Fatboy Slim, but not overtly commercial in sound like the latter two. In other words, there's a wide variety of stomping techno beats and noises with a multitude of guest vocalists; 5 in all, male, female and vocoder robots. This is where I think of Underworld, as the male vocals and lyrics are quite reminiscent of them, while the guest female vocals remind me of Moby. "Union" is a very solid and well produced release from this exciting label.

It'll make fans of any of the above-mentioned and similar outfits happy boppin boffins. CD available for $25 Aust. (or $27 Overseas) from Edgecore @ PO Box 1463 Byron Bay NSW 2481 E-mail: [email protected], or David at: [email protected], Web: www.edgecore.com.au
