::: HALO ::: "Guattari (From the West flows grey ash and pestilence")

blue line

doom-noise-industrial-metal

They're baaack! Halo return from the darkest pits of your subsconscious. If you saw the review in Blatant Propaganda #2, that'll mean something to you. They're heavier, doomier, sludgier, noisier and dronier as ever. Halo make Godflesh and all those Earache label bands sound cheerful and sprightly. When I played this to my work mates they just couldn't understand my argument that this is actually very relaxing music - no melodies to annoy you. They insisted all they heard was a wall of hellish noises. Philistines, the lot of them.

7 tracks over 34 minutes that are guaranteed to make your horrible neighbours move away, or at least too afraid to bother you again. Like other HALO releases, this has unique packaging, with the printing on top of the clear plastic case. Latest news at hand - this album is to be released by Relapse Records in the USA soon.

Available for: $10 from Embryo Recordings Po box 340 Clifton Hill Vic 3068 Australia. http://www.embryorecordings.com e-mail: [email protected] ph: (03) 9328 3925
