big-beat electronica

Funky offbeat schizoid Big Beat Electronica is what this is. Fatboy Slim on acid in a lunatic asylum. While funky, it has a raw mechanical edge to it, an industrial quality like mid-80s Skinny Puppy but without the vocals. Big chunky trip hop beats, insanity-inducing loops and noises. For example, "This'n'that" features sparse twisted pitch-shifted rap vocals, trains, seagulls, cuban drums (?), a trip-hop beat, wind bells and god knows what else. That's the only track with vocals, though several have bizarre warped vocal samples. Electronica for the warped of mind. 10 tracks over 64 minutes.

Available for $15 from PO Box 144 Emu Plains NSW 2750 Australia. E-mail: [email protected] Web: www.cus1.com
