music review:

Ras Al Ghul ::: "Spontaneous Flux Entry"

electronica - world - ambient

If you dig Autechre, or Locust's album "Weathered Well" or pretty much anything on the Warp label, then you'd really enjoy this - like I do. Ras Al Ghul play a style of electronic music which, to their credit, isn't "dance" music but more listening, atmospheric music. Very quirky yet meditative. On this 40 minute CD are 7 instrumental tracks with tiitles derived from the fields of physics and mathematics. This was one of those Cds, which, when I first put it on, was totally perfect for my mood. In fact it works well for any listening environment. It's self-released on CDR and only available from the band - so make the effort and support Fernando & Paulo. Ras Al Ghul is as good as, if not better, than anything I've heard on Warp Records. If I start up a CDr distro label this is a release I'll be keen to promote... along with many others reviewed here.

Cost: 2500.00 PTE by International Money Order to Fernando Luis Abreu Cerqueira- address below.
