"... far from mediocre and in no way tedious. On a personal level
I found the Elektronik - Love - Songs" a joy to review if only
for the sheer inventiveness of the project and the diverse elements
that influence the direction the music takes on this album. From the
brutal drum rhythm on "Gunnarise", through the native American
tribal feel to "Cold" and the abstract anarchy of "Ectopia"
and "Keep It Kleen", this is an exercise in thoughtful minimalism
with an eclectic, experimental edge; it's often bizarre and very dark
and takes interesting snippets of sound and puts them to playful use.
Rhythm and vocals here are turned upside down and the emphasis is on
strange new directions of sound... a healthy dose of |
