Blatant Propaganda CD:::: Non Bossy Posse = "Organarchy Selects the Best of N.B.P." (2002) BPDD004acid house politico techno doof track-list || price || reviews Techno-acid-punk for the 1990s, the '00s and beyond. At long last, a CD which compiles some of the highlights from the long career of Sydney's electro-techno-anarchists, Non Bossy Posse (NBP). NBP began in the very early 1990s. They were originally involved with the Clan Analogue collective, but split off to form the renowned Organarchy Sound Systems activist-techno-collective. They have provided audio fuel to many rallies, protests and free parties over the past decade, in locations ranging from the central business districts of major cities to remote locations in Australia's (nuclear) outback. Whilst they have released a few cassettes and CDRs over the years, this is in fact their first factory-pressed CD. Although, in order to keep production costs down, and minimise the pollution involved with making CDs, the CD jacket is a black & white laser-print-out. The music is what counts. You'll find topical issues such as uranium mining, nuclear power plants, indigenous land rights, workers' struggles, anarchy, unity, forest-logging, environmentalism and vegetarianism covered in a range of uplifting and positive dance tracks full of acidic swirls and unique, cleverly used dialogue samples and occasional vocals. Choice-picks include their cover-version/remix of the Warrumpi band's classic "Stand Up" as well as the brand new track "No Danger", about the proposed new nuclear reactor for Sydney.
