This collection is for the die-hard fans. These tracks were composed and recorded between August 1991 and September 1992. They were originally released on a small run of cassettes during that year. They represent about 2/3rds of the earliest EYE experiments on analogue 4-track and analogue 2-track tape (for live takes). They provide an insight into the beginnings of EYE - raw, noisey, grating industrial as well as epic soundscapes. Highly influenced by Skinny Puppy, mid-80s Einsteurzende Neubauten and early-to-mid 80s Laibach.

You might even be able to spot some ideas that were re-used in subsequent years. For instance, "silence = death" later evolved into tracks such as "aktifinit" and "action = life". While much of this material is emotionally bleaker and heavier than later works, EYE's combination of humour and politics can be found on their very first track "...the burning times..." (about the scapegoating of minorities & women during the inquisition of the middle-ages). How many Monty Python (Holy Grail) samples can you spot?
