2012-on...

Below are two of the more interesting press releases we have sent out
around Australia in recent years to music press and the like via fax,
post and e-mail. Surprisingly, or perhaps not really, is that some of
these media, particularly the larger glossier (ie. advertising-filled)
ones, didn't believe these things were true and ignored them.
Perhaps the humour or political realities represented went over their
heads? Perhaps they just weren't interested to showcase EYE when EYE
aren't interested (ie. can't afford) to pay money to have articles written
about us (which is how you normally get mainstream music press coverage
ie. buy an ad, get a write up). Oh well, maybe, in the future, in order
to get hype in these glorious literary journals, we shall adopt the
major label tactics of buying advert and article space, supply photos
of our silicone inflated p.v.c. plastic waxed and polished mannequin
bodies and crazy stories about our cutting edge sexuality... World look
out!!!
Sample PR#1: threatened with arrest.

During the filming of the video to "Mandate!" at the Australian
Parliament house in Canberra, EYE were threatened with arrest by the
Parliament House security guards. You can read the Press
Release about it by clicking the above banner.

Sample PR#2: EYE : "too political" for Radio JJJ?

The Australian government's national youth station, Triple J, said
EYE's album "Politics can be fun - Volume 1" and the track
"Mandate!" is "...too
political... too controversial..." for them to play. Please
