music review:Bytet & Violet Black Orchid"Split CD single"electro-industrial I'd heard both these groups before on the DSBP Records Compilation "Futronik Structures volume 2". I reviewed it for the Blatant Propaganda web-site and described Bytet as" quirky piece of avant garde theatrical electronics with female vocals... They've quite a unique refreshing sound. Reminds me of Laurie Anderson and Yello. I'd like to hear more." Their 2 tracks here are "Anything" and "Tension". Violet Black Orchid's ""Kiss" is also quite refreshing to these ears; slow and echoey darkwave electro with husky almost whispered male vocals, ethereal synth and a bass-noise pattern that sounds like the inner sounds of a constricted artery or a very mellow pulsating earthquake. $7 US from: Killer Sex Machina (KSM) records - c/o David London 2305 Vista Court Coquitlam B.C.
